Meet Our Director, Miss Joy:

Joy Plaisance, Director and Owner of Sunshine Preschool, has taught preschool for 7 years and absolutely loves her job! She holds a Bachelor degree in English from BYU, is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is also CPR/1st Aid Certified.
Her favorite part of the day is watching preschoolers eagerly run into the preschool, ready to learn! She loves how her curriculum teaches children about the world they live in so they can feel confident with their place in it. As Director, Joy oversees registrations, assessments, curriculum development, and all the operations at the preschool.
Outside of preschool, she enjoys landscaping, taking walks with her husband, and watching her children excel in their own school pursuits (her children are ages 9, 7, 5 and 1).
Meet Our Teacher, Miss Malia:

Malia couldn't imagine a career that she could possibly love more than being a preschool teacher. She has taught preschool for 9 years and is halfway done with her Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Boise State University. She is a member of the NAEYC and is also CPR and First Aid Certified.
Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know each of the preschoolers and families. She also enjoys the excitement of a preschool classroom and helping her students discover new things.
In her free time, Malia enjoys camping, trying out new recipes, and spending time with her family and friends.
Meet Our Teacher, Miss Rosie:

Rosie has been enjoying her career as a preschool teacher for almost 7 years and is working towards her BA in Early Childhood and Special Education. She is a member of the NAEYC, IdahoSTARS PDS, and is CPR/First Aid Certified.
As a preschool teacher, her passion is sharing and seeing the world through the eyes of a child! She loves the unique quality's that every child contributes to the classroom family. She also enjoys encouraging the childhood belief that nothing is impossible.
Rosie is a happily married mom of three children (ages 9, 6, 3) and loves traveling, exploring, eating, watching baseball, and going to church. |
